W minioną niedzielę 6 grudnia 2020 r. ekipy na Łotwie świętowały 73 rocznicę ogłoszenia Karty END. Celebracja rozpoczęła się wspólną Eucharystią w Kościele Św. Marii Magdaleny w Rydze, w której małżeństwa spoza Rygi mogły uczestniczyć online, a którą sprawował biskup Andris Kravalis. Dalsza część spotkania była już online. Uczestniczyło w niej około 30 małżeństw, 4 księży i biskup Andris Kravalis. Spotkanie „w sieci” rozpoczęliśmy koronką do Miłosierdzia Bożego. Po przedstawieniu się każdego małżeństwa opowiedzieliśmy zgromadzonym o Wspólnocie Orędowników, która obchodzi 60-lecie istnienia, mając nadzieję, że zachęcimy Łotyszy do zainicjowania modlitwy orędowniczej na Łotwie. Następnym punktem programu była konferencja Biskupa Andrisa „Henri Caffarel człowiek modlitwy”. Później w grupach dzielenia małżeństwa rozważały słowa:
“O nic się już zbytnio nie troskajcie,
ale w każdej sprawie wasze prośby przedstawiajcie Bogu w modlitwie i błaganiu z dziękczynieniem!
A pokój Boży, który przewyższa wszelki umysł,
będzie strzegł waszych serc i myśli w Chrystusie Jezusie.” (Flp 4,6-7)
Po podsumowaniu grup dzielenia odmówiliśmy modlitwę o beatyfikację ojca Caffarela i Magnificat, a na zakończenie biskup Andris pobłogosławił uczestników.
Cieszymy się, że mogliśmy spędzić ten czas z małżeństwami, które już dobrze znamy, ale również z zupełnie nowymi. Dziękujemy Baibie i Dainisowi za zorganizowanie spotkania, a biskupowi Andrisowi za tłumaczenie oraz opiekę, jaką roztacza nad ekipami.

Last Sunday, December 6, 2020, teams in Latvia celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the END Card. The celebration began with a common Eucharist in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Riga, in which marriages from outside Riga could participate online, and which was held by Bishop Andris Kravalis. The rest of the meeting was online. About 30 married couples and 4 priests and bishop Andris Kavalis so toghether 5 advisors participated in it. We started the meeting “on the web” with the chaplet of Divine Mercy. After each couple introduced themselves, we told about the Community of Intercessors, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, hoping to encourage Latvians to initiate intercessory prayer in Latvia. The next item on the agenda was Bishop Andris’s conference “Henri Caffarel, a man of prayer”. Later, in the mixed sharing groups, they considered the words:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in
Christ Jesus.” (Ph 4 :4-7).”
After summing up the sharing groups, we prayed for the beatification of Father Caffarel and the Magnificat, and finally Bishop Andris blessed all of the participants.
We are glad that we were able to spend this time with couples we already know well, but also with completely new ones. We thank Baiba and Dainis for organizing the meeting, and we thank Bishop Andris for the translation and care he gives to the teams.
